How can we export data using pipe delimited method?

  1. Run a SQL statement
  2. Click on the Export button
  3. Select the "Delimited Text" option
  4. Under the Delimiter section, select "Pipe" for Character
  5. Click OK

How can we use Excel to open a pipe delimited file?

  1. Launch Excel from the start menu
  2. Go to File -> Open and select the text file and click Open
  3. Under the "Choose data type" option, select **Delimited"
  4. Click Next
  5. Uncheck the check box next to Tab
  6. Check the check box next to Other, and in the text box next to that, type the pipe character
  7. Click Next

How can we use the history functionality to pull up the list of SQL statements that were recently executed?

Press F8. Toad will display a window in the left pane. This window will display a list of SQL statements that you recently ran. At the top of this window, you can filter based on the database connection. When you find the SQL statement that you are looking for, you can double click on the SQL statement to get it copied over to the main editor window.
