A mobile app to help me learn foreign languages. Start with looking for one of those books that teach conversational languages (probably between english and vietnamese). Write a web based software, so that we can enter all the sentences into a database, and have an interface where translators can translated the text to the respective language, and upload a voice recording of the sentence. Develop the mobile app. Users of the mobile app, can have a setting that specify their native language, and a setting that specify the language that they are trying to learn. They can type what they want to say (in their native language) into the search box, and the system will display the closest matches in their native language, and when they press on the sentence, the system will display the translated sentence, and play the recorded audio file. We may want to experience with HTML5 speech to text so that instead of typing into the search box, the user can speak into the search box. The purpose of this is to help me learn languages. There are two potential monetization for this (free (in-app advertising), free (no in-app advertising and subscription to our coupon email), paid (no in-app advertising or subscription to our coupon email)). We can perhaps, use Amazon Mechanical Turk for the translation part.
