Are you a software engineer with experience in multi-tenant enterprise SaaS applications? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with others? Then ABBYY North American Headquarters invites you to apply for the position of Senior Software Engineer, Text Analytics. You’ll find an atmosphere where talented individuals with a passion for new technology work cooperatively to create, market and sell software that is at the cutting edge of content capture and language-based technologies. Combining the excitement and challenges of an innovative environment with the stability of a long-established company, ABBYY offers the rare opportunity to team with the best – while free from the stress of a tech startup. In fact, our solutions serve over 30,000 customers worldwide across a variety of fields: From Medicine and Energy to Pharmaceuticals and Transport. If you like working collaboratively with technical product management and product R&D teams to create new and disruptive technology, then this position is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
ABBYY’s text analytic platform powers smart software solutions that automatically identify and extract business-relevant information from content. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have an important part in supporting the ABBYY Text Analytics team, concentrating on Backend-and Platform-related technologies. Duties include core ATA platform and data processing workflow engine design and development; and the integration of ABBYY core technologies such as Fine Reader Engine, Smart Classifier and FlexiCapture – as well as open source and third party technologies. You will also be working on rapid prototyping, and new products and features, with a distributed team of engineers in Milpitas and Moscow.

This position is located at ABBYY North American Headquarters, Milpitas California and requires up to 5% travel time within the United States and internationally.

Your focus will be on the design and development of core platform, workflow engine, integration and text analytic technologies. Additionally, this position requires that you be self-directed, with the ability to prioritize and manage work responsibilities with little or no supervision, and quickly learn, apply and master new technologies. As such, your duties will include:
Working in collaboration with technical product management and corporate product R&D teams to:
Design and develop workflow engine and text analytics backend components featuring stability, performance, security, reliability, and cloud supportability.
Integrate core ABBYY technologies.
Implement functional, performance and security testing.

Take the lead in resolving critical customer escalations involving architectural and technical issues.
Mandatory Skill Sets and Qualifications
