How can we determine the device number of the ipod?

First, we have to use the following command:

df -h

to determine the device that the ipod is mounted on. And then we have to use the following command:

lsblk -f

to determine the UUID of the device. For some reason, the UUID of the device seems to be changing from time to time, so we have to update the /etc/fstab file. Additionally, we also have to comment out the line in the /etc/fstab file so that we do not run into problem when we disconnect the ipod and restart the computer.

The right column is divided horizontally into two panels. The top panels display the list of files. I am not sure what the purpose of the bottom panel is.
  2. use Files to navigate to the folder that contains the files that I want to copy
