How can we create a page for our company on Facebook?

  1. Log into your regular personal Facebook account
  2. Click on the Create Page link on the left hand side.
  3. Select the appropriate category for your business
  4. Enter your business information

What should we display on our Facebook pages?

  • Cover photo and profile picture
  • Website address

  • Posting updates to let people know the latest about your business
  • If you select the Local Business category when you create your Page, customers can rate your business and write reviews.

What is the purpose of Page Post?

Page Posts can keep people who like your Page informed about your business. People who like your Page may see your posts when they log into Facebook. They can also like your post, add a comment or share it with their friends. It’s a great way to build relationships with current and potential customers.

What can we do with Post?

When you post, you can:

  1. Pin to Top: keep your post at the top of your Page. It’ll be the first post people see, which is great if you have an important update or event.
  2. Embed Post to add the post to your website. If there’s a special post you want website visitors to see, we’ll give you a snippet of code to add to the HTML of your web page. When they click the post on your site, they’ll go right to your Facebook Page.
  3. Post about offers, events or milestones for your business. You can also use posts to make offers to your customers, invite them to events or let them know about special milestones your business has achieved. Just click “Offer, Event +” at the top of your status update field.
  4. Write messages that instantly appear on your Page.
  5. Add links to your website, photos or videos for more engaging content.
  6. Share special business events or milestones.
  7. Pin a post to the top of your Page so it’s the first thing customers see.
  8. Translate your posts into different languages for different audiences.

When special events and holidays are on everyone’s mind, mention them in your posts. Planning and scheduling posts around important dates—like Valentine’s Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday and more—means you’ll be more likely to get people talking.

What is an Offer?

An offer is a timely discount, like a coupon, that someone can claim on Facebook and bring into your store. Create more leads with Offers. So you want to connect with more potential customers and grow your customer base? You can create relationships with new customers by listing an Offer, where you give away something free. Customers love free stuff, and enticing them to buy goods and services with free things is a great way to connect with new users and drive repeat business.

If you're trying to generate leads, set up a landing page with a space for name and email. When customers input their name and email, email them a redeemable code for or copy of your Offer. Customers get their free stuff, you get your lead.

What is an Event?

When people accept the invitation to your event, it’s added to their personal Facebook calendar. They’ll get reminders for the event and notifications if you make changes to it. You’ll also see who accepted your invite, so you know how many people to expect.

How can we control who can see our post?

If your customers are all over the world or speak different languages, you can set your post to appear just for them. Just click on one of the icon and choose "Location/Language".

How can we advertise our company's page on Facebook?

  1. Include it in our email signature
  2. Mention it as part of other advertisement
  3. Advertise it using Facebook Ads
  4. Invite your Facebook friends who are genuinely interested in your business
  5. Invite customers you already do business with to our page

How can we invite existing friends to our page?

Somewhere on our page, there is a button or a menu item for doing this. We can also invite our friends to our facebook page by using email (include the URL of our page in the email).

Why should we consider using videos?

Consider using videos to generate likes. Facebook allows you to make ads that target non-fans in the hopes of generating more likes. These ads are perfect opportunities for videos. Well-done videos can communicate excitement, recognition, and — most importantly — trust, something you need in order to generate more fans.

When doing a video, keep it short and sweet, like picture ads, and know who your demographic is. At the end of the video, include a call to action. A good video can help build trust more than almost any other media or promotion; use them wisely!

We can share videos using the regular update as well (leverage our existing fan / customer base). We do not necessarily have to use Facebook Ads.
